News: August 3, 2008 It has come to my attention that my slot car guard rail signs are being sold on eBay by a third party. The sale of these signs is unauthorized and an infringement of copyright. I offer the signs for free download only at www.lugnutsracing.com. Any individual is welcome to download the signs for one's own personal use as often as one wishes, always free of any charge. I created the artwork for fun and as a small contribution to the slot car community.
If you have paid for this artwork, you have been ripped off. If you have acquired the signs from anywhere other than www.lugnutsracing.com, or have paid for them, please contact me. |

At
a recent public appearance, Mario Andretti was good enough
to autograph my Minichamps Porsche 956. Though I was unable to
attend, my friend Paul brought the model along and took
this photograph. Thanks Paul! Thanks Mario! Click the image

While
strolling the garage at Watkins Glen recently, I stumbled
upon this most disturbing case of thievery. The Lugnuts
skid lid paint job has been stolen! Yep, you read that
right. Stolen, I say! I don't know to whom this cheap
copy belongs (shown on the right), but it brings to mind
an old adage: "Imitation is the sincerest form of
flattery."
The
littlest racer has broken my heart: While watching
a CART race on TV, she said, "Daddy...want to watch
Mickey Mouse tape", to which I replied with a smile,
"Not right now, honey, we're watching the car racing."
With that, she threw her arms down in protest and cried,
"But this is so boring!"
The
littlest racer has broken my heart, again: During
a recent Formula 1 race, the little one asked me to join
her for some play. I indicated that I was busy watching
the car race, and would play later. With arms crossed
and speaking in a stern tone, she announced "Daddy,
I would like you to take down the Michael Schumacher poster
from my bedroom wall."

Here
are some photos of the Wolf Dallara WD-1 driven by the late,
great Gilles Villeneuve during 1977 in North American Can-Am
competition. Powered by a 305 cubic inch Chevrolet with
mechanical fuel injection, this one of a kind racer was
driven by Villeneuve with only limited success at Watkins
Glen, Road America, Mosport, and Trois Rivières.
Photographed
at Mosport in June 2004, the car makes regular appearances
with the Historic
Sportscar Racing organization. Thanks to Dino
Crescentini for allowing me complete access to this significant
car.
June 2006 A new on-track photo has been added, as well
as a low resolution, one megabyte video file, also shot
at Mosport.
