June 25,
2005 Mosport, Ontario - The annual gathering of vintage
racers took place this weekend at Mosport
under sunny skies but brutally hot temperatues. The event was well
supported by a strong car count and plenty of spectators. Shown
here are several photographs of note.
Fans of small
bore sports cars as well as slot racers might appreciate this well
preserved Chevron B19. It's worth comparing to the Fly
1:32 slot car. While Fly missed a few details, it's obvious
they did their homework. This particular car is powered by a Ford
Cosworth BDA 2.0. Also pictured here is a beautiful March 79B Formula
Atlantic car, which was turning competitive lap times in the low
twenties. The level of preparation on most cars was impressive,
but none more so than that of the Lola T360 Atlantic car, which was clean
enough to eat off of.
